Proms 2026: Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 5 by Alena Baeva

On July 30, the Royal Albert Hall will host an evening of BBC Proms 2026 featuring the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra conducted by Delyana Lazarova. Violinist Alena Baeva, praised for her “utterly captivating” performances, will appear as the evening’s soloist. The programme includes Erich Wolfgang Korngold’s Violin Concerto — rich with cinematic passion and sweeping lyricism — alongside Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 5, one of the composer’s most monumental orchestral works.
